Last year, Business Women Albury Wodonga hosted a Showcase Charity evening, raising over $37,000 for Albury Wodonga Health – Children's Ward. These funds were used to re-turf the children's outdoor play area, purchase and build a brand-new cubby house, fit out the ward's first Sensory room, and purchase additional assorted items. We achieved this through the participation of 8 local businesses showcasing their services, live auctions, raffle tickets, and the very popular balloon pops.
Business Women Albury Wodonga are excited to announce that they are doing it all again supporting – The Women's Centre for Health and Wellbeing.
The Women's Centre has provided services to Women in the Albury Wodonga Community since 1986. They are a not-for-profit, non government organisation. They provide services for women and people identifying as women, and welcome older women, younger women and girls above 16, migrant women, women with disability, gender diverse, gender neutral and Trans people. The Women's Centre's mission is to provide women with a safe place to come to seek either free or affordable services. We have counsellors that support women who have experienced trauma, historical sexual assault, domestic violence, or are in need of support and assistance.
